Yesterday most of my energies were spent taking my oldest to his first introductory session at nursery. He is a bright, funny, emotional little guy and he was petrified. It went pretty well thanks to a friend from nursery that was also there and also petrified. They held onto each other like little random skydivers about to be thrown from a plane. I wanted to get my son something, a little present to show him how proud I am of him. Without any money, I set off to the long row of charity shops in my neighbourhood. Score! One snail rocker and EXTREMELY noisy thing for the little one and a book about the moon landing for the older one.

As we were having our snooze together just before lights out, I told Oskar how proud I was of him. He asked why so I just replied, "I am proud to be your mother, you are just such a lovely boy". He hugged me so tightly I could barely breathe.
Come on little boy start flapping your wings because it is almost time to fly.
I remember so well taking both my children to nursery for the first time. I love how you have described this, your little man is indeed very brave.
